RX002: Successfully Applying to Oxford and Cambridge
- Structure: one full-day workshop for up to 20 students
- targeting your application – courses and colleges
- collecting, organising and prioritising your material
- writing and submitting your UCAS Personal Statement
- Result: each student will have a completed Oxbridge Application
RX003: University Interviews – Winning the Lottery
- Structure: one full-day workshop for up to 10 students
- what to expect from university interviews
- preparation methods, confidence building, tricks, tips and psychology
- ‘mock interviews’ – practice, analysis and constructive feedback
- Result: students will gain experience of university interview techniques
RX004: Independent Study Skills for GCSE or A Level
- Structure: one full-day workshop for students
- successful study techniques: how to improve my study, what’s the impact?
- finding what works, subject specifics and transferrable skills
- embedding, developing and using best practice
- Result: students will develop their awareness of how to study successfully
RX005: Text-Specific Workshops for GCSE and A Level
- Structure: full-day workshops for students
- key details – plot, characters, themes
- identifying and making the most of supporting quotations
- essay titles, technique and successful structure
- Result: students will have insight into a set text, essay writing and assessment
RX006: Mastering the Basics: English Literature GCSE
- Structure: one full-day workshop for groups of up to 25 students
- what to look for, how to support it,
- useful analytical frameworks, evidence, getting the most from quotations
- de-coding exam questions and successful essay writing
- Result: students will have greater awareness of how to achieve success
